Inna Dmitrieva is a Russian-born filmmaker based in Annapolis, MD.  She holds an MFA in Cinematic Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a BA in Linguistics from the Saint Petersburg University of the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Dmitrieva’s independent filmmaking work explores themes of identity, language, and deracination. Her films have screened at festivals nationally and internationally, such as Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival, Milwaukee Film Festival, and MujerDOC. In 2022, she received a Mary L. Nohl Fellowship in the Emerging Artist category; in 2023, she was awarded a Forward Fund grant from Milwaukee Film. Most recently, she was a Saul Zaentz Innovation Fund fellow for her debut feature film Antalya.

As a freelance video editor, Dmitrieva has worked on a variety of projects, including corporate, nonprofit, and short films. Certified in DaVinci Resolve, she has recently begun working as junior colorist as well. She has also contributed to productions in various on-set capacities, such as digital imaging technician, videographer, grip, and production assistant.
